Top Five Thankful List

When life has its challenges and things don’t go as planned, it can be easy to start complaining about everything that didn’t go our way. However, a simple exercise to help shift our attitude is to list the things we’re thankful for. So, here’s my top five thankful list for this past week:

Number five: The sun breaking through the clouds after nearly five days of relentless rain and fog.

Number four: The extremely awkward situations that remind me how I need to constantly release my expectations so that I can be fully present and enjoy the now.

Number three: Catfishing—tying a long string to a stick and watching my cats got nuts over it. Trust me, it’s hilarious (and a very cheap form of entertainment).

Number two: The tough conversations that reveal areas in relationships that need better communication and create an opportunity to constantly choose to love, no matter what.

Number one: My next-to-youngest brother got engaged this past Saturday! I’m super excited for him and my future sister-in-law!
