About

Hi! My name is Elizabeth. As an accomplished former law enforcement officer, I have a strong passion and desire to help those who are in crisis and to be able to assist in providing resources that will aid in resolution of the crisis situation.  I want to be able to help shift the stigma associated with mental health and share alternative resources that will hopefully impact peoples’ lives for the better. I especially have a desire to encourage and support those who are currently serving as law enforcement officers and first responders, as well as our military veterans.  It is my hope that through this blog, I am able to encourage others with the research I have done and the discoveries I have personally found helpful to me in this ongoing journey of gratitude in the chaos.

I have a BA in Criminal Justice from Thomas Edison State University (which I obtained debt-free!), am Crisis Intervention Team (C.I.T.) certified, and a certified R.A.D. Systems Basic Physical Defense instructor for women.  I am also a recipient of the Lifesaving Award and the bronze President’s Volunteer Service Award.

I am the oldest of seven kids and was homeschooled the entirety of my primary education.  I have experience as a professional photographer and I love to travel, read, go horseback riding, walk on the beach, play the piano, and enjoy quality time with my family and friends. I currently reside in Virginia with my husband, our son, and our two Balinese kitties, Frankie and Lilac.
